Fireboy DML and Masicka pair up for ‘CLAAT!’

BNL’s vocal powerhouse Fireboy DML has teamed up with Jamaican dancehall star Masicka for a fiery, cross-continental banger titled CLAAT!. The record serves as an explosive bridge between Lagos and Kingston, fusing the infectious melody of contemporary Afropop with the rugged, authentic grit of modern Jamaican dancehall culture.

The production of CLAAT!, by Ramii, is a heavy-hitting, speaker-rattling masterpiece. Built on a driving, syncopated bassline and sharp, rapid-fire rim-shots, the track demands immediate movement from the second the beat drops. Fireboy opens the track with an incredibly smooth, soulful performance, setting up a magnetic hook that balances romantic tension with street-certified swagger. Masicka steps in with a hard-hitting, gravelly dancehall verse that injects pure adrenaline into the record.

Lyrically, the song revolves around intense attraction, street credibility, and enjoying the fruits of hard labor. The chemistry between Fireboy’s polished Afrobeats cadence and Masicka’s Patwa delivery feels completely organic, avoiding the disjointed energy that often plagues international link-ups. They trade flows with an effortless energy that makes the record feel like an authentic Kingston-Lagos block party.

Listen to CLAAT! here.
