Tamar Braxton is officially off the market.
The singer, 45, accepted a proposal from attorney Jeremy ‘JR’
Robinson on the finale of Peacock dating series Queens Court.
And an update at the end of the episode revealed that after
six months Braxton – who lost her sister Traci Braxton to
cancer last year – and Robinson are still together and
planning their wedding.
During the proposal Robinson told the Who Can I Run To?
hitmaker: ‘I don’t wanna be your friend. I wanna be your
husband. I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without
you. And I love you, Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me?’
The show featured Braxton, Evelyn Lozada and Nivea, as they
dated a group of 21 men who fought to become their potential
‘kings.’
And then I met you. And then I saw every single that I ever
prayed for as a child.’
Braxton revealed that she went into the experience hoping to
find love, but that she figured out she actually needed
friendship.
‘I thought that I just needed love. I didn’t. I needed a
friend. And you’ve been that for me,’ the Braxton Family
Values star shared.
To which Robinson – who shares five kids with four different
women – replied, ‘I’m not only willing, I’m ready.’
Braxton asked Robinson whether he was sure, after he asked her
to marry him, to which he replied, ‘Absolutely sure.’
She then gave her tearful ‘yes’ in reply.
The couple bonded on the series over losing loved ones –
Braxton’s older sister Traci passed in 2022 from cancer, while
Robinson lost his mother to the disease.
