Bad Bunny has been named the biggest pop star of 2025, topping Billboard’s annual Greatest Pop Stars list ahead of some of the industry’s biggest names.
Billboard unveiled Bad Bunny at number one on Friday, with the Puerto Rican star beating out Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift.
The publication cited the success of his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, his “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” residency, and his acting role in Happy Gilmore 2 as key reasons for his top ranking.
The announcement comes during a packed period for the artist, who is set to appear around the Grammy Awards and headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Taylor Swift was named number two on the list, marking another year she narrowly missed the top spot. In a recent fan poll, nearly 70 per cent of respondents predicted Bad Bunny would finish ahead of her.
With a landmark year behind him and major performances ahead, Bad Bunny closes out 2025 firmly positioned as pop music’s defining star.
