Real Housewives Of Atlanta Star, Kenya Moore Welcomes First Child At Age 47

Kenya Moore, a former Miss USA and Real Housewives of Atlanta alumni, welcomed her first child today and she has been christened Brooklyn Doris Daly.

47-year-old Kenya Moore who welcomed her first child via an emergency cesarean section after revealing recently that she had tested positive for preeclampsia – a pregnancy complication that caused her to gain serious weight, had revealed she was expecting her first child during a reunion episode of her hit Bravo show and documented her pregnancy on social media.

The diagnosis forced the Waiting to Exhale actress to deliver earlier than expected. Brooklyn was originally due near Thanksgiving. This is her first baby with husband Marc Daly. Kenya Moore chose not to return to Real Housewives of Atlanta, when the show’s eleventh season premieres this month.

‘I’ve waited 47 years for this moment,’ Moore told People magazine at the time. ‘I didn’t really want to announce it too soon because I feel it’s very early on in our pregnancy. But I have suffered so much in my life when it comes to wanting a family around me. So this is the day I’ve been waiting for my entire life. It’s a dream come true
