Paris Jackson opens up about life after addiction

Paris Jackson, daughter of late Michael Jackson, has shared details about her past struggle with addiction, explaining that sobriety meant more than stopping substance use.

For her, it also meant finding a clearer sense of identity.

Paris Jackson explained that sobriety for her wasn’t only about stopping dr.ugs and alc0hol, but about rebuilding her sense of identity and feeling like herself again.

She said alcohol used to change her personality in a way she didn’t recognize, describing how she could become harsh or vindictive compared to her usual nature.

She also reflected that during her addiction, she felt disconnected from herself and that her behavior felt uncomfortable to look back on, something she now understands more clearly.

Paris added that she recognizes similar emotional patterns in other people dealing with addiction, especially the tendency to chase anything that might temporarily fill an internal emptiness.

She further shared that her recovery was not quick or simple, mentioning that she went through treatment more than once before things finally started to change for her.
