Nigerians blow hot on Desmond Elliot for calling #EndSARS protestors ‘children

Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot is under serious attack after comments he made in parliament.

Basically, he shared with the Speaker of Parliament how culture has deteriorated in Nigeria. Speaking on the recent #EndSARS protest, Desmond feels the violence that came with it was an indication that culture is falling apart. He pointed to this as a negative impact of social media and it’s better the Government wakes up and put regulations in place or else things would go worse in the next 5 years. In his submission, the much-loved actor called Nigerians partaking in the protest as children. His comments have sparked outrage on social media. A lot of people are of the view that he has every reason to share his opinion but the fact that he didn’t condemn how innocent protestors were shot and killed at Lekki Toll Booth shows that he’s in support of the Bad Governance that the Nigerian Youths are fighting against.
