American singer Nicki Minaj has spoken about how her rising music career affected her church life and how she views the entertainment industry spiritually.
She said that as her schedule became busier, it became harder for her to attend church regularly.
“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church,” she said.
Nicki also reflected on what she believes were deeper spiritual challenges tied to her career in music. She described the experience as intense and difficult to fully understand at the beginning of her journey.
“It was constant spiritual warfare. I wish I kind of knew sooner that this music industry was such a spiritual experience because I felt like I brought a knife to a gunfight,” she said.
Her comments shows how her life changed as her music career grew, her schedule became tighter and more demanding, which made it harder for her to keep up her church routine and daily practices.
