Napoli has reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Romelu Lukaku in a deal worth approximately €45 million.
The transfer fee includes a fixed payment of €30 million and additional payments of up to €15 million.
Lukaku will join Napoli on a permanent, three-year contract that expires in June 2027.
The Belgian striker has prior experience in Serie A, having played for Inter Milan and AS Roma.
Napoli’s interest in Lukaku comes after their primary striker, Victor Osimhen, expressed his desire to leave the club.
The team is seeking a leader upfront following a 3-0 loss to Verona in their season opener. Antonio Conte, Napoli’s manager, has publicly admired Lukaku and is eager to work with him.
