“My mother h.ated me because of my father” — DJ Kulet reveals childhood pain

DJ and entertainer DJ Kulet has opened up about her painful childhood, using the situation surrounding the late Destiny Boy as a reference point to reflect on her own experiences growing up.

In a heartfelt statement, DJ Kulet revealed that listening to a voice note allegedly involving Destiny Boy’s mother deeply affected her, triggering memories from his childhood.

“When I listened to the voice note of Destiny Boy’s mother placing curses on him, I was deeply traumatized because it brought back painful memories of my own experience. I have been there.

The DJ went on to describe years of emotional and physical abuse he endured growing up. According to him, his mother harbored resentment toward his father, which she directed at her.

“I grew up with a mother who constantly cursed me. I was never shown love. She hated me simply because she had issues with my father and I looked so much like him.”

He recounted repeated incidents of harsh punishment that left lasting scars, both physically and emotionally.

“She beat me mercilessly, leaving marks all over my body. Each time she beat me, she would say, ‘I will beat you until you lose your self-esteem among your friends.’ This went on for years, and I truly lost my confidence.”

DJ Kulet added that the abuse extended beyond beatings, revealing that objects were sometimes used against her.

“She damaged my skin. Whenever beating me with a cane wasn’t enough for her, she would pick up a bottle and hit me on the head. The scars are still there till today.”

Reacting strongly to the situation involving Destiny Boy’s mother, she expressed anger and frustration.

“If I had the opportunity of meeting Destiny Boy’s mum, I would fight her for cursing her son. Now that he is dead, the glory of that family is gone.”

Her statement has sparked conversations online about parental abuse, emotional trauma, and the long-term impact of harsh upbringing on children.
