Davido has opened up about what he considers his biggest fear as an artiste, saying he constantly worries about not knowing the right time to retire from music

Speaking during an interview, the Afrobeats star admitted that he prays daily for the wisdom to leave the stage at the right moment before his legacy is overshadowed.

Davido’s remarks reference football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, whose emotional exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup sparked widespread reactions despite his historic achievements in the sport.

“My biggest fear is not knowing when to quit music. Look at my good friend Ronaldo – after everything he’s done for football, they still laughed at him during the World Cup. I pray to God every day to show me the right time to pack it up,” Davido said.
