The tense encounter at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat ended level after regulation time, forcing the match into a shootout where Morocco held their nerve to prevail.
The penalty shootout victory crushed Nigeria’s hopes of winning the tournament, as the Super Eagles fell just short of a place in the final.
Morocco will now face Senegal in the AFCON final, with Senegal having earlier eliminated Egypt in the other semi-final
