Mikel Obi speaks on snubbing 2face in London
The truth is finally out! Former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi has revealed what happened between himself and veteran singer 2face at a London club in 2016.
Recall there were rumours, heavy ones, that Mikel snubbed the singer at a London night club in 2016.
In fact, many also said 2face’s diss track ‘Only Me’ was directed at Obi after the London club incident.
We recall 2face denied there was a beef.
Anyway, Obi has also spoken his own truth now.
Obi shared a video of him hitting it hard on a music which played in his room, and captioned the video;
“When the music hits hard, and you can’t get enough”
While others liked and commented on the video, a 2face fan asked him, if he truly snubbed his hero back in 2016.
The fan asked; “Did you truly snubbed 2face on a club in London back in 06?”
But Mikel replied in the negative, stating: “No, I never did. Am a big fan of his. So I wouldn’t do such a thing have a lovely day.”
Recall also that 2face in an interview with Brila FM, also dispelled the narrative.
He said such an incident never took place and insisted his hit song was never a diss track to Mikel.
2face said; “At the time I did the song, Mikel had issues with his inability to show up for certain Super Eagles games.
“Then some very good rumour monger picked a line from my song as regards patriotism towards representing the National football team and ran with the story of a rift between us.
“I spoke with Mikel on the phone and we had a good laugh about it”.
