Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘could ditch HRH titles’ after ‘tough year’

Prince Harry and Meghan could ditch their HRH royal titles at the end of a ‘tough year’.

Rumours have been swirling for some time that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could make a move away from the core royal family.

If they were to relinquish their royal titles then the spotlight may move away from the couple, who have clashed with the press this year.

During December, Harry and Meghan found some peace courtesy a six week Christmas and New Year break to Canada.

According to The Sun the couple are considering setting up camp on the other side of the Atlantic full or part time.

“It is true that Harry and Meghan will spend a fair amount of time in Canada over the next couple of months and possibly going forward too,” an unnamed friend told the paper.

“Right now they are starting talks with their family about their plans for the future. Those conversations are at a very early stage.

“There is a very careful and serious process to go through which they are going to respect.”

An advisor to the couple later said it was not something that had been discussed at Buckingham Palace.

The Buckingham Palace source said that they would not comment on the story as it was ‘speculative’.
