Mayor of Atlanta, United States of America, Andre Dickens, has acknowledged singer Davido’s contribution to the development of entertainment in the city of Atlanta with designation of November 18 as “Davido Day”
In a birthday message to Davido on November 21, 2023, the Mayor praised the singer for captivating global audiences, attaining icon status in the music industry, and commended his multifaceted roles as a singer, songwriter, producer, business figure, philanthropist, and community advocate.
“On behalf of the City of Atlanta, thank you for your tireless efforts as a renowned singer, songwriter, producer, business leader, philanthropist, and community advocate. Throughout your remarkable career, you’ve amassed an incredible number of accolades and continue to use your platform to give back to communities in the United States and throughout Africa.”
Prior to this, the Atlanta City Council officially declared November 18, 2023, as Davido Day, extending its recognition on behalf of the city’s residents.”
Moreover, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners honored Davido by proclaiming November 21 as “Davido Appreciation Day” within Fulton County, Georgia.
The Board has proclaimed 21st November as “Davido Appreciation Day” in the City of Fulton County, Georgia.
“Be it resolved, That the Fulton County Board of Commissioners recognizes David for his contributions to the music and entertainment industry, and does hereby proclaim Tuesday, November 21, 2023 ‘Davido Appreciation Day’ in Fulton County, Gourgia,” the Board said in a statement.
