“Life is not Nollywood” — Chiwetalu Agu advises Nigerians on self-reliance

Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has sparked conversations online after sharing a strong message about personal responsibility, resilience, and survival in life.

According to the actor, people should stop believing that anyone who refuses to help them today will eventually suffer for it.

He stressed that life does not always work like movies where every bad act receives instant punishment.

Just because someone refused to help you today doesn’t mean they will suffer tomorrow. It also doesn’t mean your story will change. Life is not Nollywood,” he said.

The actor encouraged people to focus more on improving themselves instead of waiting for sympathy or miracles from others. He added that success often comes to those who take action and work hard for their future.

“Heaven helps those who help themselves. If you refuse to do something about your life, life may do something worse to you,” Agu stated.

He also warned that people who mock others today may continue to do so tomorrow if there is no personal growth or progress.

The comments reflect a broader message on self-reliance and the need for individuals to take active steps toward improving their circumstances.
