K1 De Ultimate submits Fusengbuwa lineage form for Awujale throne

K1 De-Ultimate, has formally submitted a completed royal lineage form to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, reaffirming his claim to the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland throne

His submission follows an ultimatum from the ruling house, which requested that he fill out the standard genealogy form required from anyone seeking recognition as a legitimate member of the family.

The musician complied after being reminded that only verified descendants of the Fusengbuwa line would be admitted into the selection process.

The chairman of the ruling house, Abdulateef Owoyemi, a former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, maintained that only authentic family members would be cleared to take part in the exercise.

Ayinde had earlier declared his interest in the stool in a letter dated December 3, 2025, addressed to the ruling house in Agunsebi Quarters, Ijebu-Ode, describing himself as a “bonafide son” of the family and insisting that his aspiration aligns with Ijebu customs and the Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws. The letter gained traction online after it surfaced on Friday.

Owoyemi explained that the directive to complete the detailed lineage form also came from the Olori Omooba of Ijebuland. The document requires applicants to trace their ancestry across seven generations, a measure designed to prevent outsiders from laying claim to the throne.

He said the declaration of one’s lineage is the first step for every contender. Once confirmed as genuine members of the ruling house, applicants can then move on to obtaining the expression of interest form. The completed lineage document is submitted to the head of the ruling house unit, who must verify its authenticity before the process can continue.

Although the application window closed on December 5, Owoyemi noted that K1 was granted an extra five days, ending on December 10. He added that no qualified member would be excluded, but every aspirant must prove their legitimacy through the established process.

According to him, the ruling house welcomes individuals whose influence can strengthen the institution, provided that ancestral claims are genuine and the integrity of the Fusengbuwa lineage is protected.
