Jim Iyke has clarified his viral birthday message to his colleague, Kate Henshaw

In a new interview, Jim said he meant every word he wrote and wasn’t trying to impress anyone. He explained that the message was simply him expressing a deep, long-standing friendship with someone he has known for over two decades.

He further said that Kate is one of the few people he can speak to without fear of judgment.

The controversial actor also addressed the assumptions many had about the tone of his message, which was s3xual. He emphasised that there’s nothing sexual about it as Kate is someone he can speak his truth to and get honest advice from.

He described their relationship as a genuine friendship.

“There’s nothing sexual about it. This is someone I can speak my truth to and get honest advice from. It’s just a genuine friendship”.
