I’ve done my part – Peter Okoye on why he doesn’t speak for Nigeria again

Singer Peter Okoye has responded to a social media user who questioned why he has remained silent about the current challenges facing Nigeria

The exchange began after the music star posted a light-hearted message on X about enjoying his time in the nation’s capital.

“Enjoyment wan kill me for Abuja🙃☺️”, he said!

His tweet drew criticism from a user who suggested that he was ignoring the problems happening in the country.

“So all these things wey dey happen for the country no concern you? Omo 😩”

Responding to the comment, Peter explained that he had already used his voice during previous national moments, including the EndSARS protests and the last general elections.

“I’ve already played my part from the last election to the End SARS movement. At this point, I’m choosing to focus on my life and my family. Everyone has their own role to play. 🤓”

His response has ignited reactions, with some people agreeing that individuals should choose how they contribute to national conversations, while others believe public figures should continue speaking out on issues affecting the country.
