Lionel Messi has agreed a sensational deal to join Inter Miami and will soon be playing his football in MLS. The World Cup winner had other offers but has ultimately been convinced by the project that awaits him in the United States and the chance to live in Miami.
It was recently announced that Messi would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain upon the end of his current contract, but his destination had remained unknown. The player always maintained that he would make his decision at the end of the season and he has done so now.
The exact details of Messi’s new contract have not been revealed, but it is believed that both Adidas and Apple have contributed to making it happen. Adidas, Messi’s boot supplier, make the kit for all MLS franchises, while Apple have just bought the television rights to the league.
“I’m going to Inter Miami,” Messi confirmed to MARCA. “After winning the World Cup and not being able to go to Barcelona, it was time to go to the US league to experience football in a different way.”
