Igor Tudor has reportedly agreed in principle to become Tottenham’s interim head coach until the end of the season, according to the Press Association
The move comes after Spurs dismissed Thomas Frank on Wednesday following a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle, leaving the club 16th in the Premier League, just five points above the relegation zone.
Tottenham’s squad has been given time off until Monday, partly because the team has had no fixtures since their FA Cup exit in January. Tudor, 47, could be in place to welcome the players back.
The former Croatia international was sacked by Juventus last October after an eight-match winless streak. Before his six-month spell at Juventus, Tudor also managed Galatasaray, Udinese, Marseille, and Lazio.
Tottenham had been searching for an interim coach to oversee the final three months of the 2025/26 season. Candidates reportedly included former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is currently in the United States for World Cup commitments, as well as Marco Rose, formerly of RB Leipzig, and ex-Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic.
Tottenham’s next match is the north London derby at home against Arsenal on February 22.
