US-based Australian rapper, Iggy Azalea has named Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Victony as her current favourite artist.
In a livestream chat with popular streamer N3on, the “Fancy” hitmaker shared that she discovered Victony on Apple Music through a featured track and was instantly drawn to his sound.
“I like Victony. He’s an Afrobeats artist. He’s on fire,” she said. “I found him on Apple Music while listening to a collaboration he did with another artist, and I fell in love with his sound.”
She added, “Now, he is one of my soundtracks in the shower.”
The rapper’s revelation adds to a growing list of international stars showing love for Nigerian artists.
