Tega Dominic has shared a deeply personal reflection on her experience after participating in Big Brother, opening up about the mental and emotional impact the show had on her life.
In a candid conversation, she made it clear that she would not encourage just anyone to go on the reality show, stressing the need for emotional and psychological strength before stepping into that kind of spotlight.
“I won’t tell anybody close to me to go for Big Brother. If you’re not mentally strong, don’t go for Big Brother. After big brother I used to have anxiety. It became worse. I had social anxiety, I can’t go to spaces if I’m alone. I can give you hugs, but I can’t receive hugs.”
Her words obviously shows how the experience, while often seen as glamorous from the outside, can come with lasting internal struggles for some participants.
Tega explained that after leaving the show, she began to notice her anxiety intensifying, particularly in social settings. What might seem like ordinary interactions for others became difficult for her to navigate alone.
Despite being able to show affection to others, she admitted she still struggles with receiving it, pointing to how deeply the experience affected her emotional comfort and sense of ease around people
