If not music, I would have been a footballer – Wizkid

Afrobeats star Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has said if he had not become a musician, he would have pursued a career in football

During his school years, he played in the football team but eventually gave up the sport because he was too impatient and disliked early mornings.

In an interview shared by @itzbasito on X, Wizkid mentioned that he admires the dedication of his footballer friends, who party with him but avoid smoking or drinking since they have to wake up at 6 am for training.

Wizkid also revealed that he doesn’t travel with bodyguards, as he considers his management team to be like family, with his manager, Sunday Are, being a father figure to him.
