Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, faced a chilly reception while performing in Abuja.
The Imo-born entertainer took the stage to perform one of his songs, but the crowd’s response was lukewarm. Despite his attempts to engage the audience, sections of attendees kept chanting, “We no send your papa,” signaling their disapproval.
The reaction seems tied to broader political frustrations in Abuja, where many residents remain critical of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration following the 2023 elections.
Cubana Chief Priest, who is affiliated with the APC and serves as a state director for the City Boy Movement in the South East, had previously expressed regret for not supporting Tinubu sooner. He had noted that he had trusted the saying, “Relax, Tinubu will fix Nigeria.”
Insecurity in Nigeria
His political alignment likely contributed to the audience’s reaction, making it difficult for the socialite to win over the crowd.
