Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing has shed light on her decision to take a break from the industry.
In an interview on “Curiosity Made Me Ask” with Bae U Barbie, Nkechi revealed that an anonymous benefactor placed her on a weekly salary of ₦1 million.
This gesture allowed her to step away from acting, as she felt the financial stability reduced her need to work on low-paying movie roles.
Nkechi explained that the uncertainty and low pay of acting jobs were significant factors in her decision.
She said;
“Someone anonymously put me on a ₦1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles — that’s why I took a break from acting. I can’t shoot a movie and I might not even make up to ₦1 million profit from it,”
When asked if the anonymous person still supports her, Nkechi playfully declined to answer, saying, “It’s not your business.”
