Actress turned evangelist, Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she “joined a cult” and once “worked with demons,” sharing details of her past struggles during a visit to Tanzania
Speaking at the Women of Fire Prayer Conference, organised by Rose Shaboka, Dikeh recounted her life before her spiritual transformation.
The event also featured notable ministers, including Jerry Eze, Funke Adejumo, and Halida Allice, and attracted a large gathering of worshippers from across the region.
Dikeh, who gained fame in 2006 through the reality show ‘The Next Movie Star,’ described her early life as marked by darkness. “I dipped my hands in filth,” she admitted.
She candidly told attendees how her search for direction led her into dangerous spiritual paths. “While trying to find my way in what I now see as a wicked world, I got deeply entangled in darkness, I joined a cult and worked closely with demons,” she said.
The former actress said these experiences gave her insight into spiritual battles and ultimately guided her toward a life of faith and redemption.
