TikTok creator Jarvis has defended her partner Peller after backlash over a viral video showing him shoving her into a car, urging critics to stop spreading false claims about abuse.
The clip sparked outrage online and led Peller to publicly admit his mistake. But Jarvis dismissed suggestions that she is being mistreated, insisting that the incident was not an act of domestic violence.
In a lengthy statement, she said people advising her should focus on their own lives. She stressed that if she were in an abusive relationship, she would have walked away immediately. Jarvis added that both she and Peller are still learning and growing together.
“Advise your family, not me,” she said. “Yes, I’m young, but I know what I want. If Peller was beating me, I wouldn’t stay. This isn’t 1960. My life and mental health come first. That push was wrong, but I believe he will change—and I’m also working on myself to control my own reactions.”
Jarvis rejected claims she is with Peller for fame or money, explaining that they are both still coming up in their careers. She also criticized people for making assumptions about her finances simply because she doesn’t flaunt her wealth online.
She concluded by reaffirming that her relationship is her choice, not influenced by public opinion: “I know what I want, and I go for it. I’m with him because I love him, not for fame, not for money.”
