Floyd Mayweather breaks his silence and pays tribute to his ex-wife Josie Harris after she was found dead

Floyd Mayweather has broken his silence after the death of his ex-wife Josie Harris who was found dead in her car by police in California on Tuesday night.

The boxer shared a stream of flashback photos of the pair together on his instagram feed along with tributes calling her ‘my rock’ ‘my friend’ and ‘my angel and ‘my love’.

Mayweather and Harris had a tumultuous relationship when they dated between 1995 and 2010. The boxing icon served two months in prison when he was convicted in 2010 of domestic violence against her.

Police are not treating her death as suspicious after she was found in a car outside her home in Valencia, Los Angeles County.

The 40-year-old was the mother of Mayweather’s three children and was currently in the middle of a $20 million lawsuit against the boxer after he claimed he used domestic violence against her in 2010 because she was on drugs.

Harris has been described as a ‘bright and loving soul’ and a ‘great spirit’ as fans rush to pay tribute.
