A former Barcelona star has been rushed to hospital after a dog attacked him and bit his genitals
Carles Perez, who now plays for Greek side Aris Thessaloniki, was attacked when taking his dog out for a walk.
His pet was targeted by another dog and when separating the canines Perez suffered serious injuries to his genitals.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and received six stitches, according to Marca.
It is understood he spent more than 24 hours in care.
Doctors also considered performing surgery on the injured area, according to Prime Sport.
Fans have shared their well wishes to Perez.
One reacted saying: “Wishing a healthy recovery to former Barça player Carles Perez, who’s in serious condition after being bitten by a dog near his genitals ❤️🩹”
Another added: “That’s very bad. Wishing him speedy recovery.”
