Don’t record I and my man in public – Nkechi Blessing

Nkechi Blessing Sunday has cautioned fans and members of the public against secretly filming her and her partner during their private outings

The Nollywood star made it clear that although she is a public figure, her current relationship is something she wants to keep off social media. According to her, she and her partner are enjoying their bond away from the spotlight and have no intention of making it public for now.

Sharing an experience, she recounted how a woman allegedly recorded her and her partner at a restaurant without their knowledge. A waitress reportedly alerted her to the situation, prompting her to confront the individual.

She said;

“Public service announcement. And I really do not want to come off as being rude, arrogant, or proud. I am sure a lot of you remember me saying I am in a very happy relationship now, but I seriously do not want it anywhere on the internet, Instagram, social media in general, because we are enjoying our relationship off the media. And then tell me why last week I was in a restaurant with my man and then There was this lady recording us secretly. One of the waitress called my attention to it. And then I walked up to her And then I said politely, ma’am, I find it very disrespectful of you making videos of I and my man without our consent. It doesn’t make sense. Yes, I am a public figure. I am in your faces. If you wanted a picture or a video, walk up to me. I don’t bite. But you trying to take an unsolicited picture and videos of me and my man, I wouldn’t take that.”

She stressed that her partner is not ashamed to be seen with her but simply prefers to stay off the internet and avoid unnecessary attention.

“This is somebody that I don’t want him to be on the Internet. He’s not ashamed to go out with me. So why do you think it is you that is supposed to put our pictures and our videos out there? Now, I am saying this categorically. The next time you see I and my man outside, please keep your phones. Because guess what? I will break it. Can you see how soft I said that? Because I know my man will fight. This man does not want to be out there. Yes. be known does that make sense like he doesn’t want to just be in the news for the wrong reasons and if eventually i want to bring him to the internet i would do so at my own time.”

She concluded by emphasizing that if she ever decides to introduce her partner to the public, it will be entirely on her own terms.
