“Signing with Platoon has been one of the proudest moment I think of my career because Platoon being my partner for music literally made me feel I’ve cemented a position as an artiste and also made me responsible to create. I feel very special and honoured”
In March, the CEO of Platoon Music, Denzyl Feigelson, opened up to Billboard on the label’s need to help artistes and ensure the pressure of COVID-19 is not so much on them. He said;
“If an artist cannot survive through this COVID-19 period, they’re not going to survive,” he says. “Just like companies are going to go down, too. And I don’t want that to happen. So we’re finding ways to mitigate this time that we’re going through to help artists.”
Over the past three years, Platoon has increased its reach in African countries by handing out advances to several acts in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria and so forth.
