Davido reveals how make-up artist replaced vixen on AYE video shoot

Davido has revealed the surprising behind-the-scenes drama of how the lead vixen in the music video for his hit song, Aye, was replaced at the last minute

According to the singer, the woman originally selected for the role was a beauty pageant contestant, but she had to pull out just before filming after her manager received a reminder that she was still under contract with the pageant organizers.

Davido said that decision ultimately became part of one of the most memorable music videos of his career.

HE SAID;

“The girl who was meant to be the lead was in a pageant. We were about to shoot when her manager called to say the pageant organizers had reminded them she was under contract, so we couldn’t use her. We ended up using her makeup artist and when the music video blew up, the two of them fell out.”
