Davido has revealed plans for an upcoming project, confirming that he is working on a joint album with American R&B star Chris Brown.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Swift Conversations podcast, the Afrobeats singer said his current creative direction is strongly rooted in African sounds, as he continues to prioritise collaborations with producers from the continent.
He explained that while his focus is now on Africa-inspired music, he still intends to work with international acts.
“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home. However, I am still an American so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he said.
Davido and Chris Brown first teamed up in 2019 on the hit song “Blow My Mind” and have since maintained a strong working relationship, appearing together on several other records over the years.
