Afrobeats superstar Davido has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first African artist to debut 12 songs simultaneously on the UK Spotify Daily Top Songs chart.
The record-breaking feat comes on the heels of the release of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, 5ive, which dropped on April 18, 2025.
Released under Davido Music Worldwide, Columbia Records, and Sony Music Entertainment, the album has already begun making waves globally.
5ive features a mix of solo tracks and collaborations with prominent artists such as YG Marley, Odumodublvck, and Chike. Standout tracks like “Awuke,” “Funds,” and “Be There Still” have quickly become fan favorites.
Notably, “Funds” — which features Odumodublvck and Chike — reached the number one spot on the UK Spotify chart with 1.25 million streams on its first day.
This latest achievement adds to Davido’s growing list of accolades. His previous album, Timeless, surpassed 450 million streams on Spotify, becoming his most-streamed project to date.
