A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has granted Blessing CEO bail in the sum of N10 million
The court however ordered that she be remanded in a correctional facility until she is able to meet the conditions attached to her bail.
Justice D.I. Dipeolu delivered the ruling on Tuesday during proceedings in the ongoing case filed against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Blessing CEO was arraigned on allegations of obtaining N36 million by false pretence and stealing. She pleaded not guilty when the charges were read in court.
During the hearing, her counsel urged the court to allow her remain in EFCC custody while efforts were made to perfect the bail conditions.
The prosecution opposed the request, stating that the EFCC detention facility was already full and could not continue holding the defendant.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge ordered that she be transferred to a correctional centre pending fulfilment of her bail requirements.
The court adjourned the matter until June 22, 2026, for continuation of trial.
