Content creator Peller has opened up about his viral confrontation with comedian Carter Efe, revealing that the heated exchange which saw both of them vandalise each other’s cars was staged
According to him, the incident, which happened during a livestream in February, was never a genuine dispute but a calculated stunt aimed at drawing attention and attracting rewards from sponsors.
The clash came shortly after Carter Efe received a brand-new 2025 Toyota Corolla from billionaire businessman E-Money as part of his birthday celebration.
During the broadcast, Peller climbed onto the car, denting its roof. In retaliation, Carter Efe smashed Peller’s windscreen with a stone, prompting Peller to strike back by damaging the windscreen of the gifted Corolla.
The dramatic scene quickly spread across social media, triggering backlash from many Nigerians who criticised the destruction of vehicles considered luxury items by most.
However, Peller has now clarified that there was no real conflict between them. Speaking during a recent livestream conversation with a friend, he explained that the entire episode was content-driven, designed to convert attention into financial gain.
“That one na for stream. In real life, me and Carter Efe cannot destroy each other’s cars. We use money find money. Na so life be. As we break glass, dem give us brand new car. Na so life be.”
His admission appears to validate earlier suspicions that the altercation was staged, especially after E-Money later intervened—gifting Peller a new car and giving Carter Efe €5,000 to fix his damaged vehicle.
