Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy has tied with Tems as the Nigerian artist with the second most certified singles in RIAA history, each boasting four certified tracks.
This milestone was reached after his collaborative hit with British Grime star Dave, “Location,” received Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling 500,000 units in the U.S.
Burna Boy’s other certified songs in the U.S. include “Last Last” (Platinum), “Ye” (Gold), and “On The Low” (Gold).
Wizkid remains the top certified Nigerian artist in the U.S. with seven certified singles.
Meanwhile, American rapper J.Cole has earned his first-ever diamond-certified single as his 2019 hit “Middle Child” joined the RIAA diamond league for selling 10 million units. “J.Cole earns his first ever @RIAA Diamond single with ‘Middle Child’,” tweeted music monitoring platform Chart Data on Thursday.
