Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has reportedly turned down a massive offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, reaffirming his commitment to staying at Old Trafford.
According to reports, Al Hilal submitted a proposal worth £100 million to United, alongside a staggering personal offer of £200 million over three years for Fernandes — a deal that would have more than doubled his current £300,000-a-week salary.
Despite the financial lure, the 30-year-old midfielder declined the move after consulting with his family. Fernandes is said to be focused on continuing his career at the highest level of European football and made it clear he would only leave if Manchester United chose to sell him.
Since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, Fernandes has become one of United’s most influential players, scoring 98 goals and providing 86 assists in 290 appearances. He has two years left on his current contract, with an option for an additional year.
New United manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly eager to keep Fernandes as a central figure in his plans, and the club is actively strengthening the squad — most recently completing the £62.5 million signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
Fernandes’ decision to reject the Saudi offer is seen as a strong statement of loyalty and ambition, as he continues to chase major honors with the Red Devils.
