Bruno Fernandes has been crowned the Premier League Player of the Season after a standout campaign with Manchester United
The 31-year-old midfielder scored eight goals and matched the Premier League record for most assists in a single season, reaching 20 assists alongside legends Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
It is the first time in his career that Fernandes is winning the award, and he also becomes the first Manchester United player since Nemanja Matic in the 2010/11 season to claim the honour.
The Portuguese star had earlier been named the FWA Footballer of the Year, adding another major individual accolade to what has been a remarkable season, one that also saw him play a key role in helping Manchester United secure Champions League qualification.
