The attorney for Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky has claimed his client could not appear before the House of Representatives as scheduled because of health issues.
Bobrisky was expected to testify on Monday regarding allegations that he bribed officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to dismiss money laundering charges against him and to influence the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) to avoid serving time in prison.
These allegations were brought forth by social media activist, VeryDarkMan, via a leaked audio.
However, when Bobrisky was due to appear, his lawyer informed the lawmakers that he was facing health issues.
The House of Representatives however requested medical documentation to verify the claims made by Bobrisky’s lawyer.
