South African singer Babes Wodumo, has pressed assault charges against DJ Mampintsha, her violent boyfriend who was seen in a viral video assaulting her early yesterday.
According to reports, the singer reported the case at a Police station yesterday, just moments before releasing a statement on social media on the assault.
Subsequent reports have confirmed that she was at the Westville Police Station in Durban. The family spokesperson, Sakhile Mhlonishwa, confirmed an assault case was opened.
According to a friend’s statement, her official statement about the matter was to calm her friends and assure them that she is doing fine. Wodumo and Maphumulo have been trending for the past 24 hours after a video of the latter evidently abusing the former went viral on social media.
