Asake reveals Wizkid initiated collaboration on hit song “MMS”

Nigerian artist Asake recently shared insights about his collaboration with Wizkid on the song “MMS”.

During an Instagram Q&A session, Asake revealed that Wizkid initiated the feature, reaching out to him after producer P. Prime played the song.

Initially, Asake had another artist in mind for the track, but Wizkid’s enthusiasm led to his involvement.

“MMS” debuted on Asake’s album “Lungu Boy”, which achieved significant streaming milestones, including the largest first-day streams for an African album on Spotify with 9.42 million streams.

The song itself broke the record for biggest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria with 870,000 streams.
