Alexx Ekubo’s last hours on Earth…

Talent manager, Ubi Franklin has explained how Alexx Ekubo passed on, Monday evening

According to him, he received a call concerning the actor’s d.eath, and he tried making calls to know how true it was. Then another call came in, informing him, the actor was at ICU. He said they prayed hoping the situation would change, but alas, another call came in, explaining the actor had lost the battle.

Ubi himself, lost his elder sister last year to cancer. He also broke the news of her d.eath on social media, explaining the impact she had in his life, and how she would be missed. If you missed that particular story, see it here.

Revealing how the actor spent his last hours on earth, Ubi mourned him on X thus;

”This feels incredibly difficult for me because I lost my sister to cancer last year. Yesterday at 7:00pm on the 11th of May, I received a call informing me that Alex had passed away. I couldn’t believe it so I called my cousin who had last seen Alex at the airport in February 2026. He then called a few other friends who all rushed to the hospital and I was told Alex was in ICU. This morning I woke up and said a prayer followed by worship songs for him, hoping the story would change. However, that call came again to confirm he was no more.

For those who have never lost someone to cancer, you simply cannot comprehend the evil sickness that is cancer. You witness your loved one dying before your very eyes every day until their final breath.

Dear Alex EKUBO, rest in peace. May the Lord heal your family.”
