AFCON 2023: Super Eagles of Nigeria’s squad takes shape ; key players report to camp

As preparation for AFCON 2023 commences for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, here are key players who have arrived in the Eagles camp in Abu Dhabi ahead of the tournament.

With the first training for the Super Eagles of Nigeria led by head coach Jose Peseiro and his coaching staff behind closed doors and with no media personality around, The NFF has confirmed the 22 players out of 25 that are currently in camp ahead of AFCON 2023 which will commence on Saturday, January 13, 2023, in Ivory Coast.

Following the official confirmation that Wilfred Ndidi will not be available for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations 2023, his replacement Alhassan Yusuf has arrived in camp and top stars like Victor Osimhen and Wiliam Troost-Ekong are expected to arrive on Thursday, January 4, or Friday, January 5, 2024.
