Atalanta star, Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Serie A Forward of the Year in the prestigious Gran Gala del Calcio Awards.
Lookman will battle Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, both of Inter Milan as well as AC Milan’s Rafael Leao for the year.
His club, Atalanta has been nominated for the Club of the Year, while manager Gian Piero Gasperini is in the running for the Coach of the Year.
The Nigeria international registered 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for La Dea last season and his hatrick helped the team defeat Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa league final .
The 27-year-old has already notched eight goals and five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions this season.
Lookman finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’or ranking.
He is the overwhelming favourite to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
The Gran Galà del Calcio awards are determined through votes from members of the Italian Players’ Association (AIC), with winners set to be announced during a ceremony on December 2.
