“Actors are not rich” – Shine Rosman speaks on financial struggles in Nollywood

Actress Shine Rosman has spoken candidly about the common belief that every Nollywood actor is financially comfortable, describing it as one of the biggest misconceptions about the industry

Speaking on the reality many actors face behind the  cameras, Rosman said people often assume fame automatically comes with wealth, even though that is far from the truth for many entertainers.

“The most overrated misconception about Nollywood stars is that we have money. I don’t know why people assume we have money,” she said.

The actress explained that while a few actors may appear wealthy, their financial success is often tied to businesses and investments outside acting.

“Some of us do have money, but from other ventures. But many of us are struggling financially,” she added.
