A$AP Rocky reveals ’embarrassing’ first meeting with Rihanna

A$AP Rocky took a walk down memory lane as he revealed the moment he first laid eyes on girlfriend Rihanna.

The rapper, 37, was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, and recalled that his first meeting with the Rude Boy hitmaker, 37, took place in rather ’embarrassing’ circumstances.

Though they now shares three kids together, Rocky explained that they first met as he was being rejected by bouncers at a New York City nightclub, and jokingly admitted that Rihanna did nothing to help him.

‘It was crazy. We met outside of a nightclub, ironically, here in New York. I wasn’t famous at the time. She was obviously Rihanna.’

‘And I couldn’t get in. The bouncers didn’t want to let me in, and I was with my friend, the late great Virgil Abloh, and Matthew Williams,’ he went on.

You know, we kind of was getting into it with the bouncers and she, kind of, came out and we locked eyes right away,’ he reminisced.

‘And I was just, like, in a a daze. And, you know, I was a little embarrassed that she caught me, like, you know, bickering with the guard and stuff like that.’

‘Did she help you get in?’ Fallon asked.

To the audience’s amusement, Rocky simply replied, ‘No.’

The Harlem-bred music artist was on the show to promote his latest album, Don’t Be Dumb.
