Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen has matched a notable record previously set by former club forward Radamel Falcao.
Victor Osimhen reached the milestone after scoring a goal and providing an assist in Galatasaray’s emphatic 4–0 victory over Kayserispor on Sunday.
According to Opta Can, the Nigerian international has now joined Falcao as the only Galatasaray players since 2015 to score the most goals from penalties in the Turkish Super Lig without missing a single spot-kick, with seven successful penalties to his name.
Falcao, who previously played for Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea, is the only other player to have achieved the feat for the Istanbul giants.
Osimhen’s strike against Kayserispor also took his tally to eight league goals for the season.
The 27-year-old will be aiming to maintain his fine form when Galatasaray take on Istanbulspor in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday.
