VeryDarkMan takes sides in Jude Okoye/Cynthia Morgan saga

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has expressed regret over previously criticizing music executive Jude Okoye regarding the long-standing controversy with singer Cynthia Morgan.

Speaking after an encounter with Okoye at an event, VeryDarkMan shared that he confronted the former label boss over allegations that he withheld Cynthia Morgan’s royalties and took ownership of her stage name. However, the conversation took a different turn when Jude presented what VeryDarkMan described as “clear evidence” countering those claims.

According to VeryDarkMan, Okoye played a video from 2016 in which Cynthia Morgan herself publicly introduced her new alias, Madrina—a move that contradicts her past accusation that Jude forced the name change or prevented her from using her original stage name.

In addition, Jude reportedly showed him detailed financial records, stating that Morgan’s royalties over the years had totaled only $3,860. He also maintained that the contract they signed was drafted by Cynthia and her management team—not by his label.

“I genuinely felt stupid,” VeryDarkMan admitted. “I believed a narrative without having all the facts. After seeing those documents and watching the video, I realised I’d gotten it wrong.”

He went further to say that Jude was open to an independent audit of all financial dealings, telling him: “Take it to the best auditor. If you find any missing money, call me out publicly.”

Following their conversation, VeryDarkMan called on Cynthia Morgan to apologise to Jude Okoye for what he described as “false accusations” that had damaged his image.

Reflecting on the situation, he said, “I now see how damaging misinformation can be. Cynthia needs to come clean and set the record straight.”
