The announcement came on May 12, 2025, through his Instagram page, where Tunde, followed by over four million users, posted photos proudly displaying his new U.S. passport. Dressed in red and blue and standing before the American flag, he marked the occasion with excitement and pride.
In his caption, Tunde wrote: “Congratulations to me!!! Not just a Citizen Oo! I also got recognition from the President of America. I am highly honored and blessed.”

Music stars like Davido and Tiwa Savage chimed in with celebratory remarks, while some followers playfully suggested that now, as a U.S. citizen, Tunde might finally make that long-awaited visit back to Nigeria.
